What is an invention? By definition, an invention is a new and useful machine or piece of work. Inventions can change the way you live. Many inventions started as flaws, but with time they improved and gave way to other inventions and discoveries. These inventions have given people a new world to live in. The following are the some of the inventions that have affected our lives deeply:
Telephone - The telephone is one of the most popular ways to communicate. Alexander Graham Bell, who was by profession an instructor in charge of deaf and mute people, invented the telephone. He wanted to invent a way in which he can talk to his friends without moving. And he succeeded. With the telephone, you can easily talk to your friends and family even if you are in far away country. As time passed, there have been many changes in the design and working of telephone, all of which led to this device's improvement.

Computer - A computer is an invention that dates back to 2000 years. It started out as an Abacus, a rack made of wood, to solve simple problems using beads. However, the first digital computer was made by Pascal in the 16th century. The computer is not the idea of a single person, but in fact, a mixture of ideas by many scientists. It is an invention that has affected our lives in every possible way. It is used in every industry and by people of all ages.
Light Bulb - Thomas Edison invented the light bulb which changed the world by bringing it out from the darkness and into the light. Edison experimented with thousands of filaments to find the best material that ensures the effectiveness of bulbs. Edison invented a bulb that won't expire for 1500 hours; however, modern technology made sure that bulbs lasted even longer.
Airplane - This invention has changed the way people travel. It has made travelling easy and more comfortable. The airplane was invented by the Wright Brothers in the beginning of the 21st century. It gives you the chance to find out different places in the world and travel to far off places where you could only think off in the past. The airplane also helps you in emergency situations such as natural calamities or war. Besides, it is used to carry luggage and air-mails.
Automobile - The first automobile was first invented by a French mechanic named Nicolas Joseph. Before that, people never dreamt of seeing vehicles travel on anything other than rail. The first automobile was a steam powered engine, and later in the 18th century, Karl Benz made the first practical automobile. However, the invention of the modern automobile is attributed to Henry Ford. He made cars in a way that enables all people to travel for long distances.
Camera - The first photograph was taken in 1826 by Joseph Nicephore Niepce. With time, the structure and design of the camera evolved, thus introducing new ways to take pictures. With the camera, you can capture as many images you want. Thanks to this invention, you can still refresh your memories and share a laugh or two at the good ones.
