Lesson Plan Title : Comparing Santas from Around the World
Age Range: Grade 6 through grade 8 (Middle School)
Overview and Purpose: Students will practice observing and writing details as they study about the ways different countries depict Santa.
Objective: The student will be able to list details about the ways different countries depict Santa.

Teacher created worksheet
Activities:
Ask students to complete a journal entry about how they think Santa is pictured in other parts of the world. Do they think he is shown in a red suit, with a white beard, and sliding down the chimney?
Then have them complete the worksheet as they research the information on the internet. Come back together and discuss what the students found. Have them write a second journal entry about how they think Santa is depicted around the world.

Wrap Up:
